Berlin → Maastricht → Berlin · 2016–now
Multi-agent applications on the JIAC V framework, and an Angular and Node dashboard for monitoring IoT devices.
A runtime environment for genetic algorithms that compares how different genetic operators perform on shop-scheduling problems.
Off to Maastricht for a master's in AI. GT-ARC works closely with TU Berlin's DAI-Labor, so most of my work there already touched AI, and I wanted to understand it properly. I also had a feeling it would matter a lot more in a few years.
Team projects throughout; I focused on generative models.
GANs that generate stable structures for Angry Birds levels. The results became a paper at AIIDE 2023.
Just across the border, so I kept this job throughout: identity management for about 47,000 students and 9,000 staff. Plus an internship in 2021 on spotting suspicious activity in file-server backups.
A chat game for Tatort, built for 100,000 concurrent players. I owned the scaling: Azure migration, sentence-embedding models on Azure ML, a leaner Flask backend with caching, load balancing. 18,000 concurrent players at launch, team of five.
I built its core: a RAG platform for public administration that answers from an organisation's own documents and cites the page every answer came from.
The site for the church's Kirchentag week, built end to end: the programme people plan their days with, the live stream, and the Mediathek with the recordings. Rebuilt for 2026 on Nuxt 4 and Cloudflare Workers.
The church is putting together a new Gesangbuch, and I build the software around it: an editor where texts meet melodies and open tasks get tracked, scripts that prepare the sheet music, and the offline app the congregation sings from. Used every Sunday, so bugs get reported fast.
The smaller websites and services the church needs along the way, and a hand in the technical planning when a new project starts.
